First Order of Books Has Been Placed
Hey, all,
We're really excited to have just placed our first order for books needed for the panels. Since we know a lot of you like to read along or raise your own points here's the list:
Camel Fables from Sailors of the Sudan by Thurlow R. Weed, Jr.
Myths from Mesopotamia - Creation, the Flood, Gilgamesh, and Others by Stephanie Dalley
Camel by Robert Irwin
Camels - The Ships of the Desert by George Laycock
Our panel "That's Bull..." includes not only cattle but these necessary lifelines of most of the Middle Eastern peoples, the camel.
All of these can be procured either through Amazon directly or through Amazon Marketplace.
You may also want some variant of "Epic of Gilgamesh" and "1001 Arabian Nights" as many of the tales from the region originate from these two collections.
We'll post other books as we buy them as well as the old standards we use. Hope to see you contributing to the discussion! Lawrence called his Arab Revolt a 'sideshow of a sideshow'. We intend to make our panels one of the main attractions, but we can't do it without you.
