Looking to share my room, need 2 more
For MFM 2010
I have a double-queen room reserved from Thursday to Monday, looking for 3 others to split the cost. I'll have Aerobeds so no one sleeps on the carpet, unless they want to. The non-smoking room is for sleep, storage, and a calm place should such a thing be needed during the daylight hours (there's plenty of other rooms for parties).
I'll be helping out at Registration almost the entire convention (and if not there then trying to make badges or other print services outside Registration) so you won't see me much except for sleeping... (At least I'll be easy to find?)
Since I drive to MFM, I'll have a car and if I'm free, I can do a WallMart run for foodage and other things. I know there's supposed to be a strip mall next to the hotel but if they charge $3 for a bottle of Mt.Dew I'm going to WalMart.
7/08/10 - Still looking for that 4th. For a stay from Thursday through Monday, it will be $109 total.
7/08/10 - Another cancellation. Need 2 more to bring the total back to 4.
8/26/10 - Back to 3 with an uncertain 4th.
8/27/10 - All 4 accounted for, no more room.

This is a room at the main hotel. For suiters this can be important as it's a long walk from the overflow hotel. The room itself is reserved from Thursday through Monday and while I will be there the entire time, you don't have to be. Only staying the weekend itself? No problem. Need just one night on Friday? No problem.
The amont owed will be based on stay. I don't require the money up front (the room is charged and paid for already) and it can be paid later or even by the end of the year if necessary.

I'm heading down there for the weekend and need a slot. I also have a distinct 'maybe' from a friend, depending on if he can get time off from work (he won't know until later this week, part-timer).
I believe I'll be getting down there Thursday night, and leaving Monday morning. Friend will be riding with me, so is stuck with that schedule. >:)

1) I don't what the new state tax will be, nor the extra fees hotels manage to come up with. With that said, I'll take a guess and say 10% making $110 total a night before dividing it amongst roomies.

3) Yes you have. I'm currently getting prepped for a VERY long drive to A-kon in Dallas, TX (from Knoxville, TN) and MFM is quite a few weeks after that convention.

Just to make the math easier:
3 people = $436 / 3 = $146 per person
4 people = $436 / 4 = $109 per person
5 people = $436 / 5 = $87 per person
Personally, I'm more inclined to have three people in the room (and disinclined to have 5, considering how little difference there is between 4 and 5), but I'm open to discussion on the topic.

The room's cost will be divided by how many are in it. If it's just me, well, I'll be eating the entire fee of $100+ each night, oof. More the merrier (I'd like to keep it to 4 max in the room, 5 if I must) so at 4, the cost would be about $30 each night (there's that 8% tax and mystery occupancy fee).
