Welcome to the Puppet Track Blog. I hope that many of you will bring puppets to use at the Con, in the Masquerade, or in the shows we'll have. If you don't have one to use, some of the other Puppeteers may let you use one of theirs, so there's no excuse now! ^.^
We'll welcome the Con with the late night "Almost Anything Goes" show Thursday Night. Traditionally, this is the place to relax and watch (or perform in) the show, and get into con-mode after travelling all day. And it is an open call show, so that means anyone can give it a try. Just keep it no worse than PG-13 rated tho.
There are some new events planned for this year...2 new panels: "Writing a script", for everyone tired of just lip-synching to music (and hopefully attendees will have a skit that can be used uring the Masq~), "Advanced Puppetry": The use of 2-handed puppets, rod puppets, and full sized puppets will be discussed. And of course, the "Puppetry 101" panel for furs with their first puppets.
But...this year, we'll put on a "Who's Puppet is it Anyway" Show! Puppetry improve at its....best? Worst? You decide! With an MC presiding over the fun, the audience shouts out ides, and the puppeteers will act them out...just like the TV show. Should be loads of fun, or loads of Shame...either way, it should be a great time.
Again, welcome to this year's Mephit FurMeet, and I hope you have a great time and please stop by any of the panels and/or shows!
